It's not just payments and other financial services that are accelerating quickly towards more distributed structures. Centrifugal forces are accelerating in the global financial policy arena as well. The establishment of the BIS Innovation Hub with offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and Switzerland is apparently triggering opportunities for additional decentralization.
Yesterday, the Sveriges Riksbank (Sweden's central bank) announced its formal bid to become another member of the BIS Innovation Hub structure. Note that the bid requires amendments to the domestic law governing teh central bank.
